For Sale ~ Boots Worn By Jay DeMarcus

Have you ever wanted to walk in Rascal Flatts bassist Jay DeMarcus shoes or boots in this case? If you live in or visit Nashville there is a shop coming  soon that just may be able to help you fulfill that dream.  "Estrella" which is Spanish for star, plans to open it's doors in April 2011.  "Estrella" is a celebrity boutique that will feature hand-me-down items of the stars including a pair of boots formerly worn by Jay DeMarcus and shirts from Jim Lauderdale, plus many more celebrity items. The store owner Lori Elam will donate 100% of the profits to help a non-profit animal rescue group.

I don't know about you but I certainly plan on making "Estrella" a must visit on my next trip to Nashville. You just never know what you will find there!

Rascal Flatts "Nothing Like This" Concert to air on ABC

Great news!! Rascal Flatts will be recording during their live performance from the Xcel Energy Center this Friday, January 21st in St. Paul, Minnesota for a special that will air Saturday, March 12th (8-9 pm ET) on ABC.  And to all the fans that have been requesting a new live show as a follow-up to the successful "LIVE" CD/DVD be sure to set the DVR for what will surely be an awesome show!

Jay and Allison DeMarcus Welcome Baby

A little birdie has told me that Jay and Allison have welcomed Madeline Leigh to their family.  Allison gave birth today to their beautiful baby girl after a short labor.  Maddie has dark hair and blue eyes and made her way into the world December 17, 2010 a little before 5pm weighing in at 6 pounds 9 ounces.  Mother and child are doing well and Jay is reported to be very excited about the birth. What a wonderful Christmas gift for the DeMarcus family.

Where Discovery Brings Hope

As many of you know Rascal Flatts holds the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt very near and dear to their hearts. Their involvement with this wonderful facility has brought awareness that many would not have experienced otherwise.  Pediatric hospitals are not where parents want to be, however it is a blessing to have such advanced medical institutes that specialize in the care of children. Vanderbilt is more than a hospital, it is a beautiful, caring and somewhat whimsical home at one time or another for so many very sick children and their families. 

The following presentation was aired December 10, 2010 for viewers in Nashville, Tennessee and the surrounding areas. The wonderful staff at Vanderbilt has made this available for all through you tube. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did and please share it with your friends.
