Rascal Flatts Visit Children's Hospital

In October 2011 the men of Rascal Flatts ... Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney spent some time visiting and performing for the children and families at the Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN. This is a ritual that they have been part of for several years and it is a heart warming and  emotional day for each of these three men. Over the years Rascal Flatts has raised approximately $3 million through concerts and auctions for the hospital; but more than money Rascal Flatts has built relationships with the staff and given their time and love to the many children and families that have crossed their path along the way.

Watch the video below for a heartwarming look at a day with Rascal Flatts and the children of Vanderbilt.

Rascal Flatts Fan Club Annual Christmas Toy Drive Needs Your Help

Ok everyone it is that time again!! A little reminder that Rascal Flatts has a fantastic Fan Club with some really wonderful people. Among them, Velvet Arrington or ~V~ as she is lovingly known.  She heads up a toy drive every year for the children and families that spend their Christmas at the Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN.  ~V~ Packs up her car and personally delivers these items from her home in South Carolina to the hospital each year. She can't do this without our support. Please send her a little something off her list.  No matter how big or little the gift is everything counts. Let's make ~V~ rent a U-Haul for this year's trip :)

One more thing, the Christmas season is celebrated differently by many cultures. Please refrain from using any specific phrase such as "Merry Christmas" on any item or card you send.  The children and their families my not celebrate the season as Christmas but as Hanukkah for example.  A more general greeting such as "Happy Holiday's" or "Season's Greetings" work well in all cultures :)

If you are interested and would like to be a part of this beautiful cause, please email ~V~ at arringnl@gmail.com for her mailing address and any questions you may have.  Your contribution will brighten the lives of so many.

Deadline to have items to ~V~ is Dec. 10th, 2011... Please ask others to get involved as well.
